Seeds of Wisdom Retreat
Date : 01/24/2025
Time : 06:00 pm - 05:00 pm
In today\'s complex socio-political landscape, we witness—and sometimes experience—deep-seated social injustices. From gender and social biases to acts of overt discrimination, these challenges are not new, yet they remain ever-present. Amid these trials, we often ask ourselves: How do we respond to social adversity? How can we heal and unite as a community?
The Quran offers profound guidance on addressing inequality, soothing the soul, and inspiring actionable change. Chapters ‘Abasa, At-Takwir, and Al-Infitar provide deep insights into these issues, reshaping our understanding of social injustice and empowering us with tools for positive transformation.
Join us at the next Seeds of Wisdom Retreat as we explore select suras from the 30th part of the Holy Quran. Together, we will uncover Quranic insights on identity, justice, and community-building, and reflect on the transformative power of its teachings in addressing the injustices of our time.
Backed by 20+ years of teaching experience, Dr. Nadia Katrangi, Good Tree Chairman and head instructor, leads the group in an engaging, interactive style group discussion. Referencing the Quran from a linguistic, scholarly, and historical perspective, each retreat has an overarching objective to highlight the relevance of the Quran in the context of current times.
